The city features the highest bar density at over 52 establishments per 100,000 residents, all operating 24 hours daily. Drinks average $10 with local beers at $4, and appetizer half-shares cost just over $6. Pittsburgh ranks second with 28.7 bars per 100,000 residents and a 2 a.m. closing time, offering comparable drink prices. Las Vegas places third with 35 bars per 100,000 residents but charges $12 per drink, the highest surveyed. Columbus and Raleigh complete the top five. The study evaluated safety, bar density, operating hours, and food and beverage costs across cities.
