Slide Tackle Font from Los Crises follows in the footsteps of red card kings
Briefly

Cristian and Christian transformed accidental marks into a legible alphabet through a messy, trial-and-error process. They aimed to maintain the energy and randomness of real tackles while developing a full typeface for a campaign. The open-source font has garnered attention from football fans and designers worldwide. They value personal projects and accessibility, promoting creative sharing. The duo continuously learns and appreciates recognition for their work, aspiring to keep producing innovative projects while playing football.
The process was messy in the best way, as we brought those images into Illustrator and challenged ourselves to shape each unique scuff into part of a letterset.
We wanted the final set to keep that sense of energy and randomness you get from real tackles - not something too polished.
It never gets old seeing something you made pop up somewhere unexpected; each share feels like a tiny win.
We believe that creative growth comes from sharing, not gatekeeping. Good things tend to find their way back to you when you put them out there with no strings attached.
