Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the lone British survivor of a devastating Air India plane crash, recounted his harrowing experience from a hospital bed. The crash, occurring shortly after takeoff when the plane felt stuck in the air, resulted in a violent collision with a building, killing 241 individuals onboard. Ramesh described the chaotic moments leading up to the crash, including flickering lights and an overwhelming sense of disbelief as he escaped the wreckage. The tragedy has raised concerns regarding the number of fatalities, including killed medical students, and has drawn attention from officials like Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who visited the crash site.
I can't believe how I came out of it alive. For a moment, I felt like I was going to die too but when I opened my eyes and looked around, I realised I was alive.
When the flight took off, within five to 10 seconds it felt like it was stuck in the air. Suddenly, the lights started flickering green and white.
I saw people dying in front of my eyes...the air hostesses, and two people I saw near me...I walked out of the rubble.
It suddenly slammed into a building and exploded. At first, I thought I was dead.
