A 50-year-old woman suffered fatal stab wounds on Pound Lane, Willesden, at approximately 4pm on Saturday. Emergency services attended and pronounced the woman dead at the scene despite paramedic efforts. A 30-year-old man believed to have been known to the victim was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody at a north London police station. Members of the public provided first aid and called emergency services. Inquiries so far indicate no wider risk to the public.
