There were 595 sexual offences across all Tube lines in 2024-25, the highest total since 2019-20 (776). Between April and October 2024, 341 sexual assaults were reported to the British Transport Police. From April 2015 to 31 October 2025, a total of 6,475 reports were recorded, averaging 1.7 per day. Most offences occurred in October and July. More than 1,000 assaults were recorded on both the Central and Northern lines. King's Cross (118), Oxford Circus (117) and Bank (98) had the most reports. The worst year on record was 2018-19 with 862 offences. TfL has run multimedia campaigns since 2015 to raise awareness, encourage reporting and deter perpetrators; increases in reporting after campaigns have been seen as an indication of improved confidence to report.
