Thiamphanit was last seen alive on April 6, 2024, after an emergency at her home. Her body was discovered on April 8, showing multiple stab wounds. Bettamio was extradited from the UAE and arrested upon arrival in the UK. A plea hearing is set for July 14, with a trial scheduled for February 1 next year.
