The 'miracle' of the sole passenger who survived the Air India flight
Briefly

Air India Flight 171 met a tragic end, resulting in the deaths of 241 passengers and crew, alongside several people on the ground. The only survivor, British national Viswash Kumar Ramesh, described his escape from the plane after it crashed into a hostel in Ahmedabad. Ramesh, in a hospital interview, recounted seeing bodies and debris around him as he was able to escape through a broken emergency door. Experts highlighted the improbability of survival in such catastrophic scenarios, marking Ramesh's story as extraordinary in aviation history.
I don't know how I survived. I was on the side of the plane that crashed on the ground floor of the hostel. When the door broke, I saw that there was some space for me to get out. That's how I escaped.
An aircraft crash landing in an uncontrolled way in a built-up area and when full of fuel is one of the worst scenarios in terms of survivability. Ramesh's survival is extraordinary.
When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane all around me.
I am happy about one brother, but sad about the others. The loss is tremendous, and I am still trying to come to terms with it.
