UK nabs 3 in 3M bribery probe tied to Dutch Microsoft DC
Briefly

UK authorities arrested three individuals as part of a bribery investigation linked to the construction of a Microsoft datacenter in the Netherlands. The Serious Fraud Office (SFO), supported by the National Crime Agency, noted over £3 million in suspected bribes paid by civil engineering firm Blu-3 to former associates of Mace Group. The SFO emphasized their commitment to tackling bribery, highlighting its detrimental effects on market integrity. Mace Group expressed their intention to cooperate with the investigation, underscoring their zero tolerance for ethical breaches.
"Paying bribes to do business undermines our financial markets, the reputation of British companies and the rule of law and will not be tolerated," SFO Director Nick Ephgrave said.
"Mace has a zero tolerance approach to breaches of our code of ethics, and takes any allegations of bribery extremely seriously," a Mace Group spokesperson said.
