MP Rosie Duffield, now an independent after leaving Labour, demands an apology from Prime Minister Keir Starmer over mistreatment concerning gender views within the party. Following a Supreme Court ruling affirming the definition of a woman as based on biological sex, Duffield expressed frustration over the investigation and barring of numerous party members for similar beliefs. She described her alignment with core Labour values but doubts her return under current leadership, indicating a rift over gender issues, while Downing Street remains silent on her claims.
I would like an apology for all of the members of the Labour Party who've been investigated, blocked, barred from being candidates. That's happened for the last few years.
I think it would be nice, but he's not going to, that's just not his style.
