The Senedd approved a £27bn Welsh government budget to fund the NHS, schools and other public services. Welsh Labour secured the spending plans after Plaid Cymru agreed to support the budget in exchange for additional funding for councils, health services and infrastructure, including £120m for new buildings, roads or other projects. The deal averted planned cuts to local government and the NHS and was described as providing security and stability for public services. Opposition parties criticised the package for not delivering tax cuts and for failing to present a clear plan to save the NHS.
