Sultana looks to 'reconcile' with Corbyn after party row
"I am engaged in ongoing discussions with Jeremy, for whom, like all socialists of my generation, I have nothing but respect,"
"We will find a way to continue in a unified way centring the grassroots of our movement."
"determined to reconcile and move forward"
"baseless attacks"
Zarah Sultana has withdrawn plans for legal action against Jeremy Corbyn and others involved in the new left-wing party, saying she is determined to reconcile and move forward. She previously instructed defamation lawyers over what she described as "baseless attacks" on her character after a membership system email prompted a dispute. Sultana accused Corbyn of overseeing a "sexist boys' club" and being "sidelined," while Corbyn labelled membership emails "unauthorised." Sultana says more than 20,000 people signed up. Both she and Corbyn aim to hold the inaugural conference in November while mediation efforts continue.
