"The Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0 SEC) came from behind three times to beat the Volunteers (2-1, 1-0) for the ninth straight time with Nate Frazier setting up the winning score with a 21-yard run on Georgia's first snap in overtime. Max Gilbert kicked a 42-yard field goal to give Tennessee a 41-38 edge in overtime. Tennessee had a chance to win in regulation, but Gilbert pushed a 43-yard field-goal attempt wide right just before the final whistle."
""Tennessee was earning this game, and I have a lot of respect for the way they played, but these kids, they never quit," Georgia coach Kirby Smart told ESPN in his postgame, on-field interview. "We knew we could run the ball, and we wanted to run the ball in the second half. We never quit, and I'm proud of this team.""
Georgia defeated Tennessee 44-41 in overtime after Josh McCray scored on a 1-yard run following Nate Frazier's 21-yard overtime run. Tennessee led late after Max Gilbert's 42-yard field goal in the overtime period, and Gilbert missed a 43-yard field-goal attempt at the end of regulation. Joey Aguilar threw for 371 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for a score as Tennessee rallied twice in the second half. Gunner Stockton passed for 304 yards, threw two touchdowns and rushed for one, including a late 28-yard fade to London Humphreys to force overtime. Georgia hosts Alabama next; Tennessee hosts UAB.
