A Long Island teen, Jimmy Connors, allegedly drove under the influence and the wrong way on the Henry Hudson Parkway, leading to a fatal crash that killed Kirk Walker and his cousin, one day before Walker's wedding. Connors, who had been drinking at a club before driving, crashed into another vehicle after being chased by off-duty NYPD officer Boubacar Barry. Despite fleeing the scene, he was apprehended near the Canadian border and faces multiple serious charges, including second-degree murder.
The pursuit began after Jimmy Connors crashed into another vehicle, prompting off-duty cop Boubacar Barry to chase him down the wrong way on the parkway.
Both vehicles barreled down the parkway before Connors' Silverado struck a car driven by Kirk Walker, who was a day away from his wedding.
Connors fled the scene, leaving behind his injured passenger, while police later captured him at the Canadian border with injuries.
Authorities indicted Connors on second-degree murder, manslaughter, and leaving the scene of a fatal crash after the tragic accident.
