Brown was sitting in a white BMW that Fluker and Westbrook allegedly followed to a store near Seventh Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, before opening fire with two pistols and a rifle."
Rondell Fluker, Joseph Westbrook, and Lavaiza Hill face murder, conspiracy, and gun possession charges for three Richmond killings and one Oakland homicide attributed to a gang war between North Richmond and Central Richmond factions. The violence escalated after Fluker was beaten and choked unconscious by a Central Richmond rival on June 17, 2024. The following day, gang members texted plans for revenge. Within 24 hours, Fluker and Westbrook allegedly opened fire on a white BMW containing Maciyah Brown, a 21-year-old pregnant woman, and Alvaro Garciapar, an innocent bystander. Brown and her unborn child were killed, along with other victims in subsequent shootings. Additional people were injured in the attacks.
