Attorney general announces indictments against 30 more people who protested at Minnesota church

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that 30 people have been indicted for participating in a protest at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 18. The protest occurred after protesters learned that one of the church's pastors serves as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement official. In total, 39 people face charges of conspiracy against religious freedom and interfering with the right of religious freedom. Among those arrested are independent journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort, and activist Nekima Levy Armstrong. The indictment characterizes the protest as a coordinated takeover-style attack involving intimidation and obstruction. Bondi stated the Justice Department stands for Christians and all Americans of faith, emphasizing that attacking houses of worship will result in prosecution.
