Democrats consult a variety of news outlets. Republicans largely turn to Fox. - Poynter
Briefly

A Pew Research Center study reveals significant partisan differences in news source preferences among American adults. The research shows that while Democrats tend to receive information from various credible sources, Republicans predominantly rely on Fox News, with 56% of Republicans expressing trust in the outlet compared to only 19% of Democrats. This disparity in media trust reflects broader trends of political polarization. Overall, Republicans reported trusting fewer sources than Democrats, indicating a more closed media network for conservative viewers.
In selecting the 30 outlets for the survey, researchers at Pew considered factors like web traffic and audience size, circulation numbers and previous research asking people where they get their election news.
56% of Republican respondents said they trust Fox News, while just 19% of Democrats said the same. Similarly, just 21% of Republicans said they distrust Fox News, compared to 64% of Democrats.
