About 100 protesters organized by the Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity demonstrated before dawn at the federal immigration court at 630 Sansome in San Francisco, with several chaining themselves to the door. Faith leaders said the goal was to shut the building for the day and to prevent arrests of members of the immigrant community. Homeland Security police were present while protesters blocked both main entrances and displayed banners reading "People of faith say: All people are sacred, liberation for all." Chants targeted ICE and attorneys recently accused ICE of flouting a court order on holding cell conditions.
