On Sunday, top Republicans and conservatives gathered in Glendale, Ariz., where tens of thousands of people filled up the State Farm Stadium to remember Kirk, who was assassinated on Sept. 10. Before Trump took the stage to address the crowd, Musk went up to the president where he was sitting and sat down in an empty seat next to him. They were seen shaking hands and chatting."
"As the One Big Beautiful Bill was moving through Congress, Musk had been trashing it for adding to the U.S. debt and ending tax incentives for electric vehicles and solar energy modules, which Tesla sells. Donald Trump and Elon Musk sat together and shook hands at Charlie Kirk's memorial in Glendale, Arizona, where tens of thousands gathered to remember Kirk, who was assassinated on Sept. 10. Musk posted a photo of the encounter with the caption "For Charlie." The meeting was their first public contact since a June feud over Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill, which Musk criticized for increasing U.S. debt and ending tax incentives for electric vehicles and solar modules. During the feud Musk suggested Trump should be impeached, warned tariffs could cause a recession, and threatened to take SpaceX rockets out of service. Trump threatened to scrutinize Musk's companies through his Department of Government Efficiency and said he had no desire to mend the relationship.
