Leavitt said Homan never took the $50,000 and accused the Biden Department of Justice of weaponization and attempted entrapment by undercover FBI agents. She said multiple prosecutors and FBI agents, including those tied to the president, reviewed the matter and found no evidence of illegal activity. She said the White House and the president fully stand by Homan and praised his border work.
