He needs to read the law and investigate these people. He also needs to resign, not only for not knowing the law but for a massive screwupthe biggest privacy violation in history. They released a lot of pictures of minors unredacted, which violated the privacy of these girls. It is uncalled for what they did."
Rep. Ted Lieu, vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus, criticized Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche for saying it "is not a crime to party with Jeffrey Epstein." Lieu argued that federal sex-trafficking law criminalizes patronizing establishments where minors are trafficked and urged investigators to examine alleged conduct. Lieu highlighted thousands of Trump appearances in the Epstein files and alleged disturbing accusations including rape and threats to kill children. Lieu called for Blanche to resign for legal ignorance and for releasing unredacted pictures of minors, and characterized Republican focus on the Clintons as a distraction from allegations about Trump.
