A Republican-led House Judiciary Committee held a hearing entitled Oversight of the Office of Special Counsel Jack Smith that became heated and escalated. Former DC Metro officer Michael Fanone and former Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn attended and confronted heckler Ivan Raiklin. Fanone engaged with Raiklin and was restrained from fighting. Fanone described repeated encounters with Raiklin dating to early 2022, alleged harassment of Fanone's mother, and threats against Fanone's family. Fanone and Jim Acosta later mocked Raiklin on The Jim Acosta Show. Dunn said he pulled Fanone back to prevent further violence and for Raiklin's safety.
