"Where: Kicking off from Wilma Chan Park (810 Jackson Street, Oakland), marching to the Lake Merritt Amphitheater When: Gather by noon, march begins at 12:30 - October 18, 2025 A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events."
A peaceful, nonviolent 'No Kings' protest march will occur on October 18, 2025, in Oakland, gathering at Wilma Chan Park and marching to the Lake Merritt Amphitheater. Participants will gather by noon with the march beginning at 12:30; volunteers will hand out signs and the Musician Action Group will provide music. Stewart Chen will welcome attendees at kickoff, and Lu Aya of the Peace Poets will lead chants and songs at the head of the march. Food will be sold by local vendors (cash recommended) along the route, which starts at 810 Jackson Street across from Lake Merritt BART and ends at the Lake Merritt amphitheater. Organizers require nonviolent behavior, expect de-escalation and lawful conduct, and prohibit weapons of any kind, including legally permitted ones.
