On Jan. 11 more than a thousand protesters gathered at the Rhode Island State House for an anti-ICE rally and then marched through downtown Providence. The demonstration responded to the shooting death of Renee Good in Minneapolis. Participants criticized immigration enforcement policies and sought to draw public attention to perceived injustices connected to the killing.
