The Dangerous Consequences of Donald Trump's Strikes in Iran
Briefly

President Trump ordered strikes against Iran, targeting key nuclear facilities, following pressure from Israel. This marks a significant escalation in U.S.-Iran tensions, especially as Trump previously sought a nuclear deal. In a televised address, Trump claimed the sites were devastated, urging Iran to 'make peace.' Experts, however, question the effectiveness of the strikes, arguing they may inflict less damage than anticipated and could provoke greater conflict. Critics highlight the lack of congressional approval for military action, raising concerns over presidential war powers.
I'm kind of appalled, to be honest, as an American citizen-appalled that the President would start military action without congressional authorization.
Even a successful strike might do less damage to the Iranian nuclear program than the Trump Administration hopes it will, whether the action could lead to a larger conflict with Iran.
