During a recent media briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized the administration's transparency and accessibility while addressing questions from influencers. Arynne Wexler, a MAGA influencer, humorously thanked Leavitt for English-speaking Uber drivers but raised more serious concerns about executive orders on gender identity in sports. Leavitt responded firmly, stating that non-compliance with federal laws could lead to prosecution and loss of funding for colleges, highlighting the administration's intention to strictly enforce these regulations and protect student rights on campuses.
Thanks so much, Karoline, both for having us and for granting me the first question here... I can attest to the deportations in Florida, my Uber drivers finally speak English again, so thank you for that.
Obey federal law, or you will be prosecuted. Obey federal law, and you could see your federal funding cut whether you are a college or a university.
We have seen the president, again, using the leverage of this administration to negotiate deals with some of the biggest colleges and universities in the country.
If they don't want to come to the negotiating table to apologize for the federal laws they have broken... there's going to be consequences for that illegal behavior.
