Since being announced as the performer last September, Bad Bunny has faced backlash from the Trump administration and the president himself for his vocal criticism of the US immigration crackdown. In October, conservative organization Turning Point USA, founded by Charlie Kirk, announced that it would be having its own halftime show, called the "All-American Halftime Show.""
