The project develops a design concept through deep communication with the school, guided by three questions about architecture as a carrier for holistic education and East-West integration, creative use of spatial potential on a constrained site, and responses to diverse teaching and usage scenarios at YK Pao School. From this reflection, the concept of “Interface Architecture” takes shape as the core language throughout the design process. The approach links educational goals with spatial organization, aiming to support multiple activities and changing needs. The design is implemented across the site with specified gross floor area and includes both above-ground and basement spaces.
"Following deep communication with the school, we began to formulate our concept around three questions: How can architecture become the material carrier of holistic education and East-West integration? How can we creatively unlock spatial potential within a constrained site? How can we respond to the diverse teaching and usage scenarios of YK Pao School? It was through this reflection that the design concept of “Interface Architecture” gradually took shape, serving as the core language running through the entire design process."
