The design of Nana Coffee Roasters in Central Westville encapsulates the brand's journey within a compact 150 sq.m area. Inspired by the owner's narrative of finding 'light at the end of the tunnel,' the architects crafted a cave-like structure with varying spaces that encourage exploration. A defining feature is the waffle structure that fills negative spaces, mimicking natural stone surfaces while the exterior conceals the interior's surprises. The project merges architecture and interior design, controlling light, with layered seating options that cater to both private and communal experiences.
The design of Nana Coffee Roasters is inspired by the architect's conversation with the brand owner about his journey, creating a cave-like experience with layers of space.
The lighting within the waffle structure enhances the central foyer, creating a flow that invites customers to explore the various volumes and seating areas.
