This prompted a search for an evidence-based framework specifically designed to guide instructional designers on integrating AI with instructional design best practices throughout course development. While the field has established frameworks like ADDIE and SAM, and AI-integrated teaching methods exist, no comprehensive methodology existed for designers building courses with AI. This gap led to synthesizing 16 instructional design frameworks into a single integrated approach to provide clear guidance for AI-assisted course development.
