Codemasters has announced a pause in future rally game development following the release of the Hard Chargers Content pack for EA Sports WRC, their final title in this genre for the foreseeable future. The video game company, acquired by EA for $1.2 billion in 2020, noted that while they are stepping back from rally, EA Sports WRC will continue to be available to players. The company has recently shifted its focus towards the F1 series, with the next game set to be released on May 30, 2025.
