"We definitely plan to be on the new hardware for Xbox, because, unless their policy or stance on it changes, they are telling us they're going to welcome that," Allison said. "And we're going be there, like, on day one. That will probably require us to build in whatever their requirements are, some sort of software to support that."
"While Microsoft has not divulged its plans for the next-gen Xbox, the company has more or less confirmed that its next home console will not be a closed ecosystem. Last year, Xbox president Sarah Bond said the next-gen Xbox experience would not be "locked to a single store or tied to one device"."
