"As spotted by the eagle-eyed munchkins over at Gematsu, this new version of the classic Rayman has popped up on the Australian ratings board, indicating that a release should be happening fairly soon. Things get even more interesting when we look at the developer and publisher, both listed as Atari. The indication is that this project was handled outside of Ubisoft, which presumably contracted Atari to handle the project."
"This also aligns with what Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming said recently on the Insider Gaming podcast. According to him, some sort of Rayman Legends remake is being developed, but before that, another Rayman project codenamed "iceman" is going to be released "very, very soon". Henderson pointed out the anniversary of Rayman was coming up, so that would be the likely launch date."
"Things are not great over at Ubisoft right now as the company restructures itself amidst the worst stock value it has ever had. But there's a bright light potentially coming in the form of a Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition. Ubisoft themselves have also teased Rayman projects. They officially announced a new Rayman game was in early development back toward the end of 2024, and in October 2025 it was announced that Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan were working "on the future of Rayman "."
Ubisoft is undergoing restructuring and is experiencing its lowest stock value on record. A Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition appeared on the Australian ratings board, indicating an imminent release. Developer and publisher entries list Atari, suggesting the project was handled externally and possibly contracted by Ubisoft. The applicant is listed as U&I, an agency that supports sales, supply chain, and marketing and often assists Atari with physical releases. Platforms listed are "Nintendo Switch, Playstation 5 (PS5)", with Xbox and PC omitted. A codenamed project 'iceman' is described as due 'very, very soon' and a Rayman Legends remake is indicated to be in development. Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan are reported to be working on the future of Rayman.
