After this segment, players regain control of Grace and must proceed to the central chamber where a pivotal question is posed: What does the creator desire? The player's choice at this moment determines which ending they receive. The destruction ending, where players choose to destroy Elpis, is identified as the bad ending. In this scenario, Leon attempts to fight Zeno but becomes overpowered due to the Raccoon City Syndrome virus affecting him. Zeno ultimately shoots Leon in the head, killing him, while Grace escapes as the facility collapses. After completing this ending, players receive a prompt allowing them to reload a system-generated autosave to make different choices.
