The game was followed by two single-player sequels, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil and Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion--both released on Nintendo 64. The trilogy follows various warriors who take up the mantle of Turok--warriors who protect Earth and a parallel dimension known as the Lost Land from prehistoric monsters, high-tech super soldiers, and inter-dimensional aliens."
Nightdive Studios remastered the Nintendo 64 Turok trilogy and released the enhanced games as standalone digital editions between 2018 and 2023. The physical Turok Trilogy Bundle launched for PS5 and Nintendo Switch on October 31. Retailers are discounting the collection by up to $30, with GameStop offering both editions for $28 and Amazon, Target, and Walmart selling them for $30; the Switch version is already sold out at Walmart. The digital remasters are available separately but are not included in the promotion. The Turok series began in 1997, spawned sequels, spin-offs, a 2002 prequel, a 2008 reboot, and a new entry, Turok Origins.
