See how Tony Hawk took over the game industry 25 years ago
Briefly

Ralph D'Amato, a producer who worked on the Tony Hawk video games, created the documentary "Pretending I'm a Superman" to explore the series' origins and impact. Directed by Ludvig Gür, the film showcases how Neversoft and Activision transformed gaming in the late '90s and early 2000s. D'Amato reflects on the unique perspective brought by his experience at Neversoft and the decision to document this legacy. The film is available for free on Tubi as part of an initiative to highlight game-related media.
The documentary came about through the fluke connection of the director of the film, Ludvig Gür, and myself after I watched a YouTube fan video he made that covered the entire series.
I felt like the story of the THPS series should be told through a documentary, and after meeting Ludvig everything just took off.
