Hollow Knight: Silksong will receive a free expansion in 2026 titled Sea of Sorrow. The expansion is nautically themed and will add new areas, bosses, tools, and additional content. Further release details will be shared shortly before the expansion launches. The original Hollow Knight will receive a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition that incorporates Silksong's platform updates such as high frame-rate modes, higher resolutions, and more graphical effects. Existing Switch owners will receive that Edition as a free update in 2026. All current-platform versions will receive feature additions, bug fixes, wider aspect ratio support, and a PC public beta.
