Free DC, named after the 1960s Free DC movement co-founded by Marion Barry, has organized multiple large protests, a Capitol Hill lobbying day, near-daily events, campaign orientations, and "know your rights" trainings. Neighborhood-based teams host local events, nightly pot-and-pan actions, and organized escorts for immigrant children to school.
