Microsoft has fixed a significant issue for Windows Server 2025 domain controllers that made them unreachable after restarts, disrupting applications and services. The problem stemmed from servers using the default firewall profile instead of the domain network profile, hindering proper network traffic management. This issue was resolved in the recent KB5060842 security update. A temporary workaround is also available, enabling administrators to restart network adapters to maintain accessibility until the update is applied. Additionally, Microsoft addressed user login issues with Windows Hello and other authentication problems from a prior update.
