The one-hour class is an introduction to IMPACT Bay Area's empowerment self-defense techniques. Participants develop skills such as intuition, situational awareness, and verbal strategies to effectively deescalate situations of assault and harassment. Students will also learn two practical physical techniques designed for self-defense. Classes are held every first Wednesday of the month from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at a confidential location in San Francisco. Attendance is free for all adults, but prior RSVP is mandatory for participation, and a discount on future full-length courses is offered to attendees.
