Mercury13 has taken majority ownership of Bristol City Women, with the Lansdown family retaining a minority stake. The multi-club group, which also owns Serie A Femminile side Como Women, aims to acquire women's teams across Europe and will provide dedicated investment and focus. Bristol City Women will continue to play at Ashton Gate and train at the Robins High Performance Centre under a long-term agreement. The Lansdowns have owned the club since 2014 within Bristol Sport, which includes multiple Bristol teams. Bristol City Women were founding members of the Women's Super League in 2011 and have five top-flight campaigns and a notable 2014 Champions League win against Barcelona.
