Missy Bo Kearns, an England international, suffered a miscarriage and contracted sepsis shortly after announcing her pregnancy. After feeling unwell during training, she sought medical advice and was found to have a high fever. Kearns was shocked to learn she had lost the baby and was battling sepsis. She spent four difficult days in the hospital, expressing gratitude for the timely intervention of her club's sports doctor, who urged her to seek treatment, potentially saving her life during this traumatic experience.
