Stanford alum Cameron Brink relishes return to Bay Area, her "second home"
""I think wherever you go to college, you're kind of from there too. I mean, I spent four years here, and when we went out as a team, it was in San Francisco. So this is like my second home.""
""It's been great. I love what I do. It was really hard to be away from it.""
Cameron Brink played her first game in San Francisco since returning from injury, receiving warm cheers from a sold-out crowd. The Stanford graduate scored five points, grabbed two rebounds, and blocked one shot in a 72-59 victory for the Valkyries. Brink, who suffered an ACL injury in her rookie season after being drafted second overall, felt a special connection to the city, having played for Stanford nearby. Fans, including at least 100 supporters, celebrated her return and commitment to the game after a challenging rehabilitation period.
