Weil Gotshal & Manges announced that Ramona Nee, currently co-managing partner, will become the firm's next executive partner, making her the first woman to hold this position in the firm's history. Nee, a Boston University School of Law graduate who joined Weil in 2002, serves as co-chair of the U.S. private equity practice and co-managing partner of the Boston office. She will succeed Barry Wolf, who retires at the beginning of 2027. Jonathan Soler will become sole managing partner. Wolf praised Nee's loyalty, devotion, and ability to handle difficult situations. Nee expressed optimism about continuing to serve clients, support employees, and attract top talent during the transition.
