Trailfinders Women sign Black Fern Ponsonby

Georgia Ponsonby has signed with Trailfinders for the 2025-26 Premiership Women's Rugby season. The hooker has 31 caps for the Black Ferns and was part of the 2022 Rugby World Cup-winning team. Ponsonby will team up with New Zealand colleague Alana Borland, who joined the club earlier. Trailfinders head coach Barney Maddison praised her as a "world-class" player. Ponsonby joins other notable internationals such as Rachel Malcolm and Megan Jones, expressing excitement about her move to an evolving team with a strong culture.
Ponsonby links up with New Zealand team-mate Alana Borland, whose signing for the west London club was confirmed in June.

Ponsonby is one of a number of internationals to join Trailfinders for the upcoming season, along with Scotland captain Rachel Malcolm.
