Rain has caused rivers to burst their banks, tearing through nine cities and districts in Bali. Mud, rocks and trees tumbled on to mountainside hamlets and rising rivers submerged at least 112 neighbourhoods and resulted in several landslides, Bali's Disaster Mitigation Agency said in a statement."

Fifteen people have died in flash flooding across East Nusa Tenggara and Bali, and authorities report 10 people remain missing. Torrential rains beginning on Monday triggered floods and landslides that devastated villages, towns and tourist areas. Rescuers recovered a mother and child buried under mud in Mauponggo, a man in Loka Laba, and previously found three family members swept away; several people are still unaccounted for. In Bali, bodies were recovered near Denpasar and the Kumbasari market, while six people were reported missing in the province. Rivers burst their banks, mud and rocks swept into hamlets, and at least 112 neighbourhoods flooded, causing widespread damage.
