Aksaray Governor Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoğlu detailed the accident, mentioning that the pilot was fatally trapped under the balloon after falling from the basket.
In a separate, less serious incident, another balloon made a hard landing in Belisırma, injuring 12 Indian tourists who were treated at a local hospital.
Despite the accidents, Governor Kumbuzoğlu assured that the injured tourists were in good health, receiving timely medical examinations.
