Explosions in an upscale Doha suburb killed six people and undermined hopes for a Gaza ceasefire. Qatar hosts Hamas leaders in exile and the largest U.S. air base in the Middle East, placing it at the center of regional tensions. The Qatari prime minister said the Israeli strike on a neighborhood with schools, nurseries, embassies and homes came without advance warning. Qatar labeled the attack "state terrorism" and criticized Israel as a rogue player. Hamas reported the death of a negotiator's son and five other members, while Qatar said a Qatari security officer was also killed.
