Iranian strikes targeted airports in Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, along with residential and commercial buildings. At least nine people were killed in an Iranian strike near Jerusalem. The U.S. State Department ordered Americans to immediately depart 12 countries including Israel, Egypt, Qatar, and the UAE. American universities with regional programs, including Southern Methodist University and Carson-Newman University, canceled operations and worked to evacuate stranded students and employees from Dubai and other locations.
