RSF paramilitary-led coalition forms parallel government in war-torn Sudan
Briefly

A coalition called the Leadership Council of the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) has formed an alternative government in Sudan, challenging existing military authorities. Mohamed Hamdan Hemedti Dagalo, leader of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), chairs a 15-member presidential council including regional governors. This initiative aims to create a secular, democratic, and decentralized Sudan. Despite the ongoing brutal civil war, with tens of thousands dead and millions displaced, TASIS is committed to principles of freedom, justice, and equality, although this new government could further ignite divisions and conflicts in the region.
