"If Instagram carousels were a TV show, then a new episode of my favorite home decor series just dropped. Actress Christina Hendricks has been renovating her home, going room by room, to make every corner feel more like her. Most recently, she transformed her guest room into a Scottish Highlands-inspired bedroom that's bursting with color, pattern, and antique decor."
"The rich mix of patterns, textures, and even styles makes this room feel as though it's been added to throughout generations. Hendricks installed the Jurdan Floral Mural from York Wallcoverings, available through Anthropologie, on the wall behind the bed, which seemingly set the tone for the rest of the space. She pulled the warm yellow tone from the mural for the ceiling and leaned into the pops of brownish-red with the striped wallpaper."
Christina Hendricks renovated her guest room into a Scottish Highlands–inspired bedroom filled with vibrant color, layered patterns, and antique decor. She installed the Jurdan Floral Mural from York Wallcoverings behind the bed to establish the room's palette. The ceiling was painted a warm yellow drawn from the mural, and brownish-red striped wallpaper complements the scheme. Multiple patterns appear across the bedding, lampshade, and rug, producing a collected, generational feel alongside antique furniture and accessories. Hendricks intentionally stepped outside her color comfort zone and plans to add art to the walls while being cautious about fresh wallpaper.
